Many of the tangible results of the work of Potter's House Association can be seen in the stories of the Treasures and our partners. For a more general overview of the work that God is doing in Guatemala through Potter's House, however, consider the following:
In 2010 - January through June
- Personal Development Program
- 189 Treasures both youth and adults are participating in Bible Studies and Discipleship groups.
- Through 4 special Evangelistic Activities 250 children 165 young people and 20 ladies heard the good news of salvation. Activities were created specifically for their age group. 15 young people accepted Jesus as their Savior and 5 young people decided to renew their relationship with God.
- We are supporting a special Bible club where 40 children meet every Saturday in the community. The leaders of this group are Treasures from the community.
- Education Program
- 11 teachers working every day in our tutoring program.
- 2 Christian Psychologists are working with our children and teens three times at week.
- 1 Christian Counselor is praying with our children and teens twice at week.
- 1 volunteer is helping secondary students by reinforcing Biology, Physics, and Math.
- All of them work hard to bless the lives of 150 children from elementary school and 50 teens studying at secondary school. Students also received:
- Tutoring and materials to do their homework.
- Special classes: English, Bible, writing, spelling, reading, math and artistic expression.
- Specialized tutoring for secondary students.
- Shoes, school supplies and special gifts.
- They enjoyed 13 special recreational activities such as: birthday celebrations, visit to the children’s museum, splash day and others.
- 80 parents continue to be equipped to improve family integration and to fulfill their roles within their families.
- Health Program
- 516 patients were helped through the clinic at Potter’s House.
- 320 Treasures served through the clinic in the garbage dump.
- 44 children received dental care.
- 276 Treasures were served through the first special medical outreach with the help of national doctors and volunteers. The second medical outreach is planned for July 10th.
- 1185 Treasures received medications through our pharmacy open from Monday through Friday.
- 900 Treasures in the garbage dump received worm medication and vitamin supplements.
- 3,432 families received cold and flu relief medicine as part of our relief efforts during the rainy season when our Treasures are more vulnerable to respiratory diseases.
- 12 Treasures supported through medical tests and diagnostics.
- 14 health promoters were trained in Basic first aid and preventive measures. They learned how to place an IV needle and how to give injections.
- 11 Treasures suffering from chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure, for example, are participating in a special program where once at month they receive Bible Studies, instruction and how to manage the disease, a medical checkup and medication.
- 1 Treasure was blessed as she received a new leg prosthesis she really needed.
- Micro-Enterprise Program
- 37 loans were granted to entrepreneurs
- 65 clients received training, orientation and advice based on Biblical principles according to their individual needs.
- Community Support Program
- 23,251 lunches were served to 200 children who are part of our education program.
- 102 bags of staple foods were distributed.
- 115 buckets of staple foods were delivered during prayer walks and visits to the homes of Treasures.
- 50 Community projects (new infrastructure, equipment and home renovations)
In 2009:
- Personal Development Program
- 2400 Treasures heard the good news of salvation
- An average of 50 Treasures attended a discipleship group each week
- 16 local churches were invited to begin a special program to train pastors and provide follow-up to new believers
- Education Program
- 150 students are enrolled in elementary school programs
- 50 students are enrolled in secondary school programs
- 1 student graduated from high school
- 5 students are pursuing university studies
- 110 parents learned how to better holistically nourish their children through parenting classes
- Health Program
- 2.460 patients treated in our primary care clinic at Potter's House
- 97 patients were treated in the primary care clinic at the dump (set up in October 2009)
- 676 patients received medication from our pharmacy
- 1000 patients were treated in four short-term medical clinics staffed by five health care professionals
- 34 Treasures from 11 communities were trained in disease prevention, first aid and basic health care skills
- Personal Development Program
- 39,853 lunches served to 200 young Treasures
- 886 bags of food and clothing were distributed to Treasures living in extremely difficult circumstances
- 14 families received support for the funeral of a family member
- 435 infrastructure improvement projects brought a better quality of life with the support of 268 volunteers from 14 international teams

- 108 clients received spiritually-based counseling to address their needs

- 5 Treasures graduated from high school

- 821 patients were seen by 13 national and international health care professionals
- 2 special, major medical projects were sponsored

- 167 loans and many hours of counseling granted
- 208 entrepreneurs are making a better living for their families which represent about 1000 Treasures
- 45% of those clients contribute to savings accounts
- Community Support
- 777 bags of food plus clothing, beds, financial support and other gifts were made available to 6,867 Treasures in emergencies or difficult times
- 13,375 nutritious snacks were served to improve the health of 167 children
