Central Region

Impact

  • More than 29,000 Treasures living in the 21 communities surrounding the landfill are served. Through strategic partnerships with other ministries, services also reach other areas of Guatemala City, impacting many more families.
  • Ongoing support is provided to an average of 180 to 200 children, youth, and their families.
  • Over the years, several community projects have been carried out, including street paving in some communities, the construction of more than 300 homes, strengthening community leadership, emergency response, and the distribution of a wide variety of in-kind donations, among many other initiatives.
  • Currently, Tesoros attend the Education program five days a week, where they receive academic reinforcement through tutoring and specialized workshops, in addition to nutritious lunches.

Impact

  • More than 25,000 Treasures have been served.
  • We offer a variety of medical specialties, including general medicine, pediatrics, psychology, dentistry, nutrition, physical therapy, and laboratory services.

Easter Region

Altamira, Chiquimula

Impact

    • Operations began in 2018; however, Potter’s House has been working in Chiquimula since 2015 through projects such as Vacation Bible Schools and infrastructure initiatives in the community and public schools.
    • An average of 4,500 Treasures from four different communities are served each year.
    • Ongoing support is provided to an average of 75 children, youth, and their families.
    • 25 women and their families learn to grow their own vegetables through the Agricultural and Livestock Learning Center (CAAP).
    • Community projects are carried out, including home construction, integrated service units, and support for infrastructure in public schools and health posts, among others.
    • Currently, Treasures attend the Education program five days a week, where they receive academic support through tutoring and specialized workshops, in addition to nutritious lunches.

Western Region

Momostenango, Totonicapan

Impact

    • Operations began in 2021. However, we have been working in the department of Totonicapan since 2019 through projects such as Vacation Bible Schools and medical outreach clinics.
    • An average of 4,300 Treasures from three different communities are served each year.
    • Ongoing support is provided to an average of 75 children, youth, and their families.
    • Currently, Treasures attend the Education program five days a week, where they receive academic support through tutoring and specialized workshops, in addition to nutritious lunches.
